Description

Indonesia Domestic Biogas Programme (IDBP) is a carbon-financed national program which implement domestic biogas as renewable energy source for rural farmers across Indonesia. Other than as source of renewable energy, the program serves multiple roles, including waste management of cattle dung, provide source of bio-slurry as organic fertilizer to support sustainable agriculture practices, and increase farmers' resilience and welfare through savings and increased productivity.

In Citarum watershed, YRE in cooperation with Perum Jasa Tirta II is implementing IDBP to prevent cattle waste discharge to Citarum upstream in Pangalengan and Lembang, Jawa Barat. The biogas is equipped with worm farm facility to ensure the produced bio-slurry does not returned to river upstream, but fed to worms as additional source of income for farmers.
