Description | Explore costs, benefits and incentives for the inclusion and uptake of good water stewardship by agribusiness and governments, at a landscape level with special focus on the natural rubber industry. Through a range of observations, data collections, field visit, round table discussions, simulations and cost analysis, the objective was to define mechanisms for embedding good water stewardship in existing commodity standards and jurisdictional and landscape approaches, which might serve to inform other regions, countries or sectors. The broad project built a Community of Practice to generate interest, develop mechanisms and deepen the understanding of water stewardship as part of landscape approaches through webinars, online knowledge sharing and training. PT PIPA scope of intervention was restricted to evaluating and determining the financial impact and the share benefits of such a strategy. |
